There will be a cutting workshop on May 30th for 1-5:30. You may come and leave whenever you want to. You are not required to stay the entire time. We will be cutting with the template layout sheets for Group A and Group B. Please complete the pre-work before coming to class.
I strongly encourage you to read and study this pattern. It is a very complex pattern, but doable.
This was the most popular pattern at Quiltworx last year.
Prep work for cutting workshop/class -
For those students that purchased the Tequila Lime kit from Calla Lily; you will be using your Quiltster printout to cut strips for the first class.
Group A -
Referring to page 6 on the pattern instructions; you need to have your bags made according to pattern and have you papers cut and in bags.
The Quiltster printout gives you all the cutting for your strips. You will be cutting all the sections that begin with "A" and also swatching your pattern on page 6 with the appropriate color.
(FOR INSTANCE ON THE QUILTSTER PRINTOUT, THE A8 FOR FABRIC BE40-E1 IS TELLING YOU TO CUT 4 - 14" STRIPS (14" X 42), AND YOU WILL SWATCH THE FABRIC A8 ON PAGE 6 OF YOUR INSTRUCTIONS).
COMPLETE THE CUTTING OF STRIPS FOR THE "A", LABEL THE FARICS, AND PUT IN BAG. (SEE PAGE A6 FOR SWATCHING).
Group B -
Refer to page 12 on the pattern instructions, you need to have your bags made according to pattern and have your papers cut and in bags.
The Quiltster printout gives you all the cutting for your strips. You will be cutting all the Sections that begin with "B" and also swatching your pattern on page 12 with the appropriate color.
The first class on June 10 we will be working on Group A and B.
