Buttons Galore

Buttons are the unsung heroes in the textile world! So why not learn to make your own buttons?!  

This class will show you techniques to use up scrap fabrics, machine embroidery techniques, and how to weave Dorset buttons that use perle cotton thread for a punch of color.  

Supply List
Craft Cover Button Kit (includes template and pusher for setting the fabric on the button)
Scrap Fabrics
Tear-away Stabilizer for embroidery
Embroidery thread (3-4 colors available to you)
Size #8 Perle Cotton Thread, 2 or 3 contrasting colors 
1" Plastic Rings, bring 1 or 5, however many you'd like for the Dorset Buttons
Embroidery needle (big eye with a round point, not sharp)
Sewing/Embroidery machine (If you do not own an embroidery machine, please let us know and we can arrange for you to rent one for the class)
